This is Rémy Martin VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac from the 1970s, a 40% cognac in a 71cl bottle. Rémy Martin VSOP was first launched in 1927.
The house traces back to 1724, when a young winegrower named Rémy Martin began making cognac under his own name. After the Second World War, the then head of the business, André Renaud, decided that the house would make cognac exclusively from the Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne crus.
