A single barrel straight bourbon aged 17 years, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Resilient Bourbon at cask strength, 60.24% (120.48 proof). It was aged in 53 gallon newly charred American oak and then finished in an Oloroso sherry butt.
The mash bill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% barley. It pours a deep, almost opaque mahogany.
The nose is caramel plum pudding, dried fig, chocolate covered toffee, chestnut and oak spice. On the palate come raisins and plum in caramel sauce, chocolate covered almonds, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and chewy, with caramel soaked plum and clove lasting longest.
