A rum from Guyana, distilled in 2002 and aged for 18 years in casks that previously held Islay whisky. Molasses and tropical fruit notes meet peaty, lightly smoky accents, with hints of dark chocolate and tobacco. The palate is full and soft, with a solid structure and a long, persistent finish. It can be sipped neat, perhaps with a cigar, or used as a base for refined cocktails.
