Riolite Vini Primitivo 17.9 2021 (17.9%)

A red wine from Puglia, made from Primitivo grapes left on the vines for three to four weeks after normal full ripeness, so they partially dry and concentrate sugar and flavour. After manual harvest the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at low temperature for up to 60 days with Saccharomyces bayanus, then aged for four months in European oak barrels. It is very dense ruby with high brilliance. The nose is dominated by black cherry, roasted walnut and plum, with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and cinnamon. The palate is round and soft yet intense and full, with pronounced fruit sweetness balanced by refreshing acidity and a mineral touch.
