Ripasso della Valpolicella Superiore 2022 - Mezzina - Tommasi (37.5cl)

A red wine from Tommasi, made mainly from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara and produced by the ripasso method, re-fermenting young wine on Amarone pomace. It has a deep ruby colour with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, plus delicate spicy notes and hints of vanilla and cocoa from ageing in oak barrels. On the palate it is soft and harmonious, with silky tannins and a pleasant persistence. It pairs well with meat dishes, aged cheeses and savoury risottos.
