This is Rittenhouse straight rye whisky from Heaven Hill, aged for 10 years and released to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
It is a limited commemorative edition, presented in a patriotic design.
The nose is warm baking spice, toasted oak, caramel and rye grain. The palate is peppery, with vanilla, dark caramel and a little toasted wood. The finish is long and warming, led by spice, with a lingering oak sweetness.
