Rittenhouse Rye 100 Proof is a bottled-in-bond American rye whiskey, bottled at 50% ABV. It is produced under Heaven Hill in Bardstown, Kentucky, from a mash bill of at least 51% rye, with corn and malted barley making up the rest.
The nose brings cedar, clove, cracked black pepper and citrus peel, with a little vanilla and toasted grain behind. On the palate, rye spice, ginger and nutmeg meet citrus zest, caramel and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and a dry citrus edge.
