Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whisky 100 Proof (70cl, 50%)

Rittenhouse Straight Rye is a rye whisky bottled at 100 proof, or 50%, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at Heaven Hill, a family-owned and family-run distillery founded in 1935. The style follows that of Pennsylvania rye and is named in memory of Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. It is described as a fairly intense, muscular and fruity whisky with plenty of power. Dried fruits, pipe tobacco and caramel come through on the nose, followed by cocoa, cinnamon and soft orange peel on the palate.
