Rittenhouse Straight Rye is an American rye whiskey from Heaven Hill Distilleries, rooted in the Kentucky tradition and sold in a 70cl bottle. It is made mainly from rye and matured in new, charred American oak. The nose is peppery, with black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla and herbal hints. The palate is firm, with caramel and stone fruit, and a lingering, slightly smoky persistence.
