Rock Island Tequila Cask Edition (48%)

Rock Island Tequila Cask Edition is a Douglas Laing blended malt made from whiskies of the Scottish islands and finished in ex-tequila casks. It is bottled at 48%, with no added colour and without chill-filtration. The series pays tribute to island single malts, and the tequila casks add a fresh note to that maritime style. The nose opens with bright citrus, then gentle bonfire smoke and a creamy, crème brûlée sweetness. On the palate come crisp apple and caramel, intense vanilla and a touch of peated malt. The finish is long, with brown sugar and toasted oak, leaving a warm, smoky feel.
