A small-batch cask strength bourbon from Rod & Hammer's, made on California's Central Coast.
It is made from a corn-forward mash bill and matured in new charred American oak barrels. Caramel, vanilla and toasted oak lead, with hints of dark chocolate, dried fruit and baking spice.
The nose is rich caramel, charred oak and a touch of maple syrup. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet vanilla, brown sugar and dark fruit over warm spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak and toffee.
