Rod & Hammer's Cask Rye is a two-year-old American rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled unfiltered and undiluted at 56% ABV (112 proof).
The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the whiskey was aged in new American white oak barrels.
The nose is spicy, with black pepper, cedar, leather and a little smoke. Hot rye spice leads the palate, softened by caramel sweetness and toasted oak. The finish is long, with smoky undertones and lingering caramel.
