Rod & Hammer's Reserve Rye Whiskey

A reserve rye whiskey from Rod & Hammer's, handcrafted on California's Central Coast. It is distilled from a high rye mash bill and aged for longer than the standard release. The time is spent in new charred American oak barrels, which bring caramel sweetness and oak alongside vanilla, dark fruit and baking spice, with the peppery kick of rye running through. The nose is spicy rye grain, vanilla and dried cherry with a hint of oak. On the palate, bold pepper and clove give way to caramel, toffee and subtle cocoa, and the long, warming finish carries spice and sweet oak.
