Rodnik's Absinthe Classic Green (70cl)

Rodnik's Absinthe Classic Green is a green absinthe in a 70cl bottle, made in the traditional style and recalling the Belle Époque, when absinthe was the drink of artists and intellectuals. The nose is intensely herbal, led by wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), anise and fennel, with mint and pine adding freshness. On the palate the bitterness of wormwood blends with the sweetness of anise and the spice of fennel. The strength is pronounced but well integrated, and the flavours linger. It can be served the traditional way with iced water, which brings on the louche, or used in cocktails.
