Roe & Co – 13 Year Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey 'Alligator Char' Finish (70cl, 56.9%)

This is a 13 year old Irish single grain whiskey from the Dublin distillery Roe & Co, bottled at cask strength, 56.9%, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition. The grain whiskey was finished in casks given a very heavy 'Alligator Char', a level of charring at which the wood surface takes on a reptile-like texture. Nose and palate show strong vanilla, toffee, panna cotta, fine spice and Jamaican ginger cake. The finish is long, warming and peppery.
