Roe & Co Flor is a 14-year-old Irish single grain whiskey, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first single grain from Roe & Co to be made as a permanent part of the range.
The finish in sherry casks draws on the biological ageing used for fortified wines from the Jerez region of Spain.
The nose offers lemon and orange zest with marzipan, dried apricots, green apples, coconut and a little toasted oak. On the palate, apricot jam, more citrus zest, almonds and fresh cream make a round, creamy texture. The finish is long and warming, with toffee and a pinch of ground ginger.
