Roku Japanese Craft Gin (70cl, 43%)

Roku is a Japanese craft gin from the House of Suntory, bottled at 43% ABV in a distinctive hexagonal bottle. Its name means "six" in Japanese, for the six Japanese botanicals in the recipe: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper. These are combined with traditional gin botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica root, angelica seed, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peel and lemon peel. Each Japanese botanical is harvested at the best point in its season. The gin is citrus, floral, herbal and gently spicy, with yuzu, cherry blossom, green tea and a peppery sansho finish.
