Ron Colón Salvadoreño Coffee Infused Rum starts with the brand's own rum blend, which brings together a six-year-old Salvadoran column-still rum and Jamaican pot-still rums. Whole Bourbon coffee beans from El Salvador's El Cambio estate are then macerated in the rum, cold, for 48 hours, a method that draws out the aromatic oils of the roasted beans without harsh bitterness. The result is dry and layered, with dark roast espresso, dark chocolate and toasted nuts, backed by tropical fruit funk and warm vanilla spice. It suits an Espresso Martini or a spirit-forward digestif.
