Rosaluna Mezcal (40%)

Rosaluna is a mezcal from Oaxaca, made in the traditional way. The agave hearts are roasted in earthen pits, crushed with a stone mill and fermented naturally. They are then distilled in small copper or clay stills and bottled at 40% ABV. The character is classic mezcal: smoky, earthy agave with a gentle sweetness. It is less aggressively smoky than many mezcals, and the finish is warming and faintly vegetal. It can be sipped slowly with orange and salt, or used in a Mezcal Negroni or a Paloma.
