Rosebank 30 Year Old Release 1 is a Lowland single malt from the Camelon distillery in Falkirk, and the first global release under Ian Macleod Distillers. It was triple-distilled in 1990, shortly before the distillery closed in 1993, and bottled in 2020 at 48.6%, non-chill-filtered. The outturn is 4,350 bottles.
The whisky matured in 62% refill sherry butts and 38% refill bourbon hogsheads.
The nose is soft and creamy, with caramel wafer, gooseberry, white grape, almonds, vanilla, honey, lemon and nutmeg. The palate is delicate and crisp, with light syrup, chamomile, pear, tropical fruit and oak spice. The finish is soft but long, with candied violets, orange and faint mint.
