Rosebank – 31 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 2022 Release (70cl, 48.1%)

Rosebank 31 Year Old Release 2 is a Lowland single malt bottled at 48.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was assembled from the small stock that remained after the original Rosebank distillery in Falkirk closed in 1993, and it is the second release of its kind since Ian Macleod Distillers bought Rosebank. It is the last of the old Rosebank releases before the Falkirk distillery reopens to the public under new owners. The whisky is triple distilled and non-chill-filtered. The nose stays juicy and fresh despite the long maturation, with hints of lime and lemongrass. The palate follows with mild exotic fruit, chamomile and mint, joined by leather, banana bread, oak and spice. The finish is long and herbal, with a touch of peach and tobacco.
