This is a 12 year old single malt from Roseisle, a Diageo distillery that has only been distilling since 2009, and part of the 2023 Special Releases. It is the first single malt bottling from the distillery. It matured in first-fill bourbon and refill casks, selected in small quantity, and is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.
The nose offers vanilla, marzipan and brown Demerara sugar, with blackcurrants and a maritime hint. The palate is creamy and complex, with ripe berries, figs, stewed peaches, candied oranges, vanilla, white chocolate and warming baking spices. The finish is creamy and long, with dark honey, nuts and sweet oak spice.
