Roseisle 12 Year Old, known as The Origami Kite, is the first official release from the Roseisle distillery and part of the 2023 Diageo Special Releases. It matured in first-fill bourbon and refill casks and is bottled at 56.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is bright amber. The nose offers coffee toffee, marzipan, demerara sugar, sea breeze, cut grass and blackcurrant jam, with vanilla, tropical fruit, citrus and honey. The palate brings peach, fig and crystallised orange with rich spice, black pepper, aniseed and a hint of rhubarb. The finish is nutty and creamy, long, dry and lightly spiced.
