This is Roseisle's 12 year old Special Release for 2023, The Origami Kite. It is a Speyside single malt bottled at 56.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon and refill casks.
The nose is mellow and lush, with light vanilla sponge and butter icing, ripe peach, white chocolate and a touch of molasses. The palate is smooth and creamy, sweet with vanilla icing, before a spicier note rises above deep fruit. The finish is long, richly sweet and lightly spicy, with a touch of white pepper. A dash of water adds sweetness.
