A red wine from Le Volpi & Monte Fasolo, made mainly from Merlot and Cabernet grown on mineral-rich volcanic soils in the Colli Euganei. It has an intense ruby colour. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, sweet spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is full-bodied and well structured, with balanced acidity and tannins, and flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate and coffee. Ageing in wood adds complexity and ageing potential.
