Rosso di Montepulciano DOCG - Avignonesi (14%)

A red wine from Tuscany, made mainly from Sangiovese, locally called Prugnolo Gentile, blended with other local varieties. It is an intense ruby red with violet reflections. The nose has lively red fruit such as cherry and strawberry, light spice and a touch of vanilla from brief wood ageing. On the palate it is balanced, with good tannic structure that softens towards the finish, leaving pleasant freshness and a persistently fruity aftertaste. It pairs with Tuscan cured meats, grilled red meats, hard cheeses and mushroom dishes.
