Rowan's Creek Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Rowan's Creek is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley. Barrels between 5 and 15 years old are selected and blended, and each label carries a handwritten batch number. The nose is typically described as pronounced spice giving way to caramel, vanilla and dried pear, with floral hints and lemon zest. The palate pairs honey sweetness with cardamom, cinnamon and black pepper, then charred oak and dates. The finish is moderately long, with vanilla, oak char and a faint echo of dried fruit.
