Royal Brackla 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Cawdor Estate, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The distillery was the first in Scotland to receive a royal warrant, granted by King William IV in 1833.
The whisky spends twelve years in American oak and is then finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. The finish adds dried-fruit depth to the malt.
It is described as showing ripe peaches and black cherries, chocolate-covered almonds and muscovado sugar, over a malty Highland core.
