This is a 12 year old Royal Brackla bottled by the independent bottler Thompson Bros at 55.5% ABV. It was distilled in 2014 and aged in a pair of first-fill bourbon hogsheads.
It offers a contrast to the sherried style most familiar from the distillery's official bottlings.
The nose shows muscovado sugar, key lime pie and pistachios. On the palate there is honey and almonds, with a good measure of oak.
