Royal Salute 21 Year Old Signature Blend is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, crafted in Speyside and bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The range takes its inspiration from the ceremonial 21-gun salute. Malt and grain whiskies are blended, each matured for at least 21 years in oak casks, mainly American and European oak that previously held sherry or other wines.
The nose opens with ripe orchard fruit, honeyed citrus and vanilla bean, then toasted oak, dried apricot and gentle spice. The palate is creamy, with caramelised sugar, butterscotch, stone fruit compote, black pepper and a little dark chocolate, alongside baked figs and dates.
