Royal Salute 21 Year Old The Polo Estancia Edition (70cl, 40%)

This is a 21 year old blended Scotch whisky, the first edition in a collection celebrating famous polo destinations. It honours Argentina as the home of modern polo and comes in a terracotta porcelain flagon. The blend is fully finished in Malbec wine casks from Argentina, which shape its character. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is rich and fruity, with raspberries and blackberries like a berry compote and a hint of sweet liquorice. The palate is sweet and spicy, with cinnamon, plum jam and dark chocolate ginger sweets. The finish is long and sweet, ending slightly dry.
