Rum 1753 is a Jamaican rum from Hampden Estate in Trelawny. It is made from locally selected molasses fermented with traditional yeasts and distilled in copper pot stills.
It is aged in American oak barrels, adding vanilla and spice notes without overpowering the rum's vibrant character. The nose shows sugar cane, ripe tropical fruit, vanilla spice and toasted wood, while the palate is full, rich and enveloping with a long, warm finish of clove, oak and caramel.
