Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon made at the Wild Turkey Distillery, bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle without chill filtration.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, and the spirit goes into the barrel at 115 proof. It matures for at least ten years in No. 4 alligator char barrels, and the bourbon is blended from hand-selected barrels.
Vanilla, caramel, butterscotch and maple syrup lead the nose. The palate offers caramel, toffee and seasoned oak with a steady build of rye spice. The finish brings toasted marshmallow, leather and dry oak.
