Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Rye is a Kentucky straight rye from the Russell's Reserve range made by Wild Turkey. Each barrel is hand-selected, and the whiskey is bottled at 52% ABV and non-chill-filtered.
It is aged in No. 4 char American oak barrels, and the mash bill is 51% rye, 37% corn and 12% malted barley.
The nose brings lemon pepper, vanilla frosting, caramel, tobacco, herbal tea, menthol, nutmeg and ginger. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy, with brown sugar, butter toffee, cherry, cinnamon, oak and pepper. The finish is long and spicy, with cinnamon, peppercorn, toasted caramel and leather.
