RY3 Rum Cask Finish Rye Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

RY3 Rum Cask Finish is an American rye whiskey blended from three whiskeys, three mash bills and three age statements, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Matt Witzig, co-founder of RY3, built the blend on 95% rye from MGP in Indiana, 100% Alberta rye and a 12-year-old corn-based light whiskey aged in used uncharred barrels. The marriage is then finished in vintage rum casks, and the launch run used barrels from sister brand Ron Izalco. The nose combines spiced rye, tropical fruit, sweet rum tone and vanilla. The palate is powerful and layered, with caramel, orange peel and rum sweetness, and the finish is long, spiced and lightly sweet.
