Rye & Sons Kentucky Rye Whiskey is the first annual release from sommelier and winemaker André Hueston Mack. It is a Kentucky rye aged for at least two years and bottled at 97.5 proof (48.75% ABV).
Mack takes a winemaker's approach, looking at the character of each year's barrels to get the most from the grain. The brand aims at rye that suits easy sipping and cocktails alike.
The nose is cane syrup, orange zest and clove with a hint of eucalyptus leaf. The palate brings anise, roasted nectarine, salted caramel and cinnamon.
