Far East of Peat is a Japanese blended whisky from Wakatsuru Saburomaru in Toyama, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. This is the second batch, with 7,000 bottles produced.
Blender Takahiko Inagaki built it from two parts. One is a heavily peated (50ppm) malt matured in a bourbon cask at the Saburomaru distillery. The other is a lightly peated malt from the Nagahama distillery, aged in an Islay quarter cask.
