Saburomaru VI The Lovers is the sixth edition of the Tarot series, which has appeared since 2017. It is a Japanese single malt that marries heavily peated spirit made with Highland peat, distilled in 2020, and with Islay peat, distilled in 2021. It was bottled in 2025 at 48% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring and without chill-filtering.
The nose is elegantly smoky, with sweet vanilla, roasted nuts and barbecue notes. The palate brings strong smoke, creamy smoked cheese and a hint of tropical honey. The finish is long, with a fine salty edge.
