This is a straight rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit, bottled in bond at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of two rye mash bills, one high in rye and one lower. The bottled-in-bond designation, set by the Act of 1897, means the whiskey comes from a single distillation season at one distillery. It must be aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, bottled at 100 proof and produced in the United States. Rye spice leads, with fruit and floral notes from the sour mash fermentation and toasty caramel from ageing.
