Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye is a Maryland-style straight rye whiskey, bottled at 41.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It blends two straight rye mash bills, one high in rye and one lower in rye with more corn. Each is distilled and aged separately in high-char American oak before they are combined. The whiskey is proofed with limestone-filtered spring water from the 1909 spring house at Sagamore Farm in Maryland.
It has a golden straw colour. The nose offers vanilla, caramel and baking spices, the palate candied dried orange peel with clove and nutmeg, and the finish lingering walnut and brown sugar.
