Salento Rosato IGT - Five Roses - Leone de Castris

Salento Rosato IGT "Five Roses" from Leone de Castris is a rosé wine from Salento in Puglia, Italy. It is made from Negroamaro grapes with a small percentage of Malvasia Nera. Vinification begins with a short maceration at controlled temperature, followed by fermentation in steel to preserve fruity aromas. It has a bright rosé colour with coral reflections. On the nose it shows cherry, ripe strawberry and delicate floral touches. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious and well balanced, with a pleasant aromatic persistence. It suits light starters, fish dishes, fresh cheeses, Asian cuisine and summer salads, and also works as an aperitif.
