Sam Houston Small Batch Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 54% ABV, or 108 proof. It is named in honour of the historical figure Sam Houston. The whiskey is aged in new charred American oak barrels. Each batch is kept very small, sometimes only a few barrels, and the bottle carries the batch number, the number of barrels used and the total bottles produced. The nose brings toasted oak, leather, caramel and dark fruit. The palate is full-bodied, with toasted grains, caramel, vanilla and layered oak, and the finish is long and warming with baking spice, charred oak and gentle honeyed sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
