San Leonardo Grappa Stravecchia (50cl)

A Stravecchia grappa made from the pomace of San Leonardo wine and distilled by Bruno Franceschini. It was created on the initiative of Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga, after the estate's white grappa. The pomace is distilled with direct steam in small discontinuous stills, then cold filtered. It ages for five years in used barriques that previously held San Leonardo wine, giving an amber-gold colour with mahogany reflections. The nose is rich, with fruit, fine spice and traces of wood. The palate is full, soft and warm, with a very long finish.
