San Lorenzo Barolo DOCG 2022

A Barolo from Fratelli Alessandria with an aristocratic, clear and elegant profile typical of the vintage. The bouquet opens on ripe cherry and rose petals, with hints of aromatic herbs and a light trace of tar that adds depth without roughness. Fresh acidity and firm but well-integrated tannin keep the wine taut and savoury, with present but not invasive substance. On the palate it shows solid structure and fine texture, with fruit alternating with earthy memories and a finish sliding into spicy returns. It suits decanting before serving and pairs well with braised meats, roast meats and aged cheeses; it also has room to develop in the cellar, where tannin and acidity can harmonise further.
