Sandeman 10 Year Old is a tawny port from the Douro, made by the house that George Sandeman founded in 1790. It is a blend of wines aged 9 to 12 years in oak casks in the Vila Nova de Gaia lodges.
The blend draws on Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional. It has a red-tawny colour with brick shading.
The nose is ripe fruit and jam with nuts, vanilla and raisin. The palate is full-bodied, with the dried fruit and nut depth that comes from years in oak, and the finish is persistent.
