Sandeman Late Bottled Vintage Port (75cl)

This is a Late Bottled Vintage port from Sandeman, made in the Douro in Portugal. It is a blend of carefully chosen wines from a single harvest, aiming for a full, fruity style with plenty of character. The must ferments in temperature-controlled steel with intense extraction, then the port spends about four years maturing in oak casks. It is bottled without filtration to keep the style of the wines that make it up. The nose is moderately intense and complex, with balsamic and resin notes, black fruit and a touch of black pepper. The palate is full and vibrant with firm tannins, leading to a well-balanced finish. It suits medium-aged cheeses, chocolate desserts and fresh fruit.
