Sandeman Ruby Port (1L)

Sandeman Ruby is a ruby port made from Douro grapes picked by hand at full ripeness. Fermentation is short and is halted by the addition of grape spirit, which keeps the freshness of the fruit. The house was started by the Scotsman George Sandeman in 1790. This ruby is versatile, suited to dessert, as an aperitif or for sipping on its own. The nose shows crisp dark fruit such as blueberry, blackberry and cherry, with hints of violet water and iris, sweet vanilla spice and light toasty touches. The palate is rich and balanced, with returns of dried plum and flowers.
