This is Sanderson's VAT 69, a blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
It follows the original blend created in 1882 by the company's founder, William Sanderson. He picked out one hundred of his finest blends, and he and a group of friends and experts preferred the one from vat number sixty-nine. That is how VAT 69 got its name. The first bottles were port bottles, and the shape of the bottle still reflects this.
