Sanderson's VAT 69 is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, in a 75cl bottle. It comes in an unusual oval bottle and is boxed. The blend is based on the original created in 1882 by William Sanderson, founder of the company. From a selection of one hundred of his finest blends, he and a group of friends and experts chose the one from vat number sixty-nine as their favourite. That choice gave the whisky its name.
