Santi Santico Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from Santi, made using the traditional appassimento method. It shows an intense garnet red colour, with aromas of ripe fruit, cherries in spirit and plums, plus spice, chocolate and a light tobacco note from ageing in wood. On the palate it is rich and full, with soft, well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity and flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate and spice. It suits braised dishes, stews, game and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed as a meditation wine.
